Teleworking Support Services
ARCCA is a leader in developing and implementing telecommuting programs, consulting to such clients as Fortune 500 companies and government agencies. We work with clients on all phases of program implementation, from strategy formulation and assessment through development, implementation, and finally, evaluation.
Our consultant-led orientation and training programs help clients integrate flexible work operations, technology, and the implementation of pilot and full-scale flexible work programs. Services include:
Existing Program Evaluation
ARCCA will evaluate your flexible work option programs and provide you with a fresh, objective evaluation. We look at all program elements to determine the effects of the flexible workplace environment on component operations, productivity, customer support, and work/life balance. Finally, we identify program successes as well as problems.
Our team will meet with organization representatives to develop an operations and technology evaluation strategy and schedule.
Suitability Assessments
ARCCA conducts structured assessments to evaluate your readiness to implement flexible work options. We look at all elements of your organization to determine the influences that could preclude or impede program implementation. We meet with your representatives to develop an operations and technology assessment strategy and schedule.
The ARCCA team can also work with the organization's technology representative to determine the level of suitability of current hardware/software systems to support flexible work options; evaluate the "help" (technical support) available to remote workers; and define equipment, software, and connectivity requirements.
Once we complete the assessment task and submit a summary report, we work with clients to develop a concise plan to implement the program.
Demonstration Projects
ARCCA works with organizations that are prepared to start new programs or expand existing ones by implementing demonstration or pilot programs. A major goal of the demonstration project is to give you objective yardsticks by which you can measure program success.
The ARCCA team meets with your representatives to guide the development and implementation of the pilot program, and work with you to draft effective policies and procedures. We use our focus group facilitation and interview experience to solicit critical feedback from employees and supervisors on flexible work option program start-up issues and concerns. We also develop survey tools for evaluation purposes.
The ARCCA team even facilitates interactive "how to" training for managers and employees, including training workbooks and workshop materials tailored to organization's needs. Throughout the process, ARCCA provides ongoing assistance to ensure successful implementation of the demonstration project.
Telework Orientation and Training
ARCCA designs training modules to meet your training requirements for both managers and employees. We provide information and tools for program implementation: our interactive training program is broken down into easy modules, each including a mix of lecture, group discussion, exercises, and case studies. We structure our training sessions for a minimum of three hours.
We will provide a handbook (hardcopy or electronic version) designed to provide guidance to managers and employees for effectively implementing telecommuting solutions. We include pre-training workshop materials and questions that will help facilitate the training.
As an additional training option, ARCCA develops a "Train-the-Trainer" Workshop using revised manager and teleworker training materials to meet "Train-the-Trainer" objectives. The workshop is a two day session to train participants on the basics of teleworking and practical ways to make a telework program work successfully from a both a teleworker and manager perspective. We include tips and guidelines for organizing the training workshops and effective use of the training materials.
