Safety Engineering and Risk Analysis

Our engineers are experts in assessing occupant protection system performance and occupant behavior, and in determining occupant kinematics in crash scenarios. ARCCA has patented several of its designs. One is a seat bottom designed to reduce the effects of dynamic amplification on human spines. We also have a patent on a complete, integrated seating and restraint system that resulted from a contract with the U.S. Army to improve occupant survivability in Army ground vehicles.

ARCCA is also a leader in child occupant protection. We recently completed a program assisting the National Highway Transportation Agency (NHTSA) in determining the biofidelity of child test devices used to design child safety restraints, and the effectiveness of those restraints.
